Meet your fellow owners in our Owners Clubs. July edited September in Lexus. I have been holding off replacing it til I saw what worked with the car, but it is bluetooth compatible and I have linked it to several computers so I thought I'd try it. The phone indicates it has paired with the car, but the car display never acknowleges that. It still shows no phone connected and it is still trying to connect.

Lexus ES 350 and Bluetooth

Has anyone tried and been successful with this model? July In case it helps, a similar thing happened with me and my '05 Lexus LS Although it didn't appear to work and I kept re-pairing them over and over again, I finally just went ahead and made a call from the phone, and lo and behold, it worked and has worked from then on.

Made me feel very silly. Apparently some of these systems needs an actual call to be made to complete the process. Hope this helps. I never would have thought of that!

I'll give it a try tonight. I did very easily connect a friends Razr Cingular today and made a call just to ensure the system is working. When I picked up my a few days ago the dealer told me they had "problems" hooking up the Treo through Bluetooth. We hooked it up at the time and it worked perfectly for several days.Remember Me? I called my dealership and they were clueless so I called Entune. They gave me a TSB to give my dealership to reference. I found this update on the Toyota downloads website and attempted to install it. I got an error it was not compatible, so I removed the SD as the TSB instructs, attempted again, and still got the same error.

I called Entune again and they informed me the TSB was revised in April and the download on the Toyota downloads website was not the correct version. I informed my dealership of this when I went in for my appointment, however, they attempted the same download I did and got the same error. They said they'd need to contact toyota tech support and would need to reschedule after researching the issues.

I had my 2nd appointment a week and a half later, and whatever they tried that Toyota recommended, didn't work and they said it needs a new head unit. I've been waiting 2 and a half weeks for it to come in. In the meantime I've tried just about everything. I've uninstalled Entune from my phone, forgot all devices connected to my phone, and wiped cache.

I'm unable to enter bluetooth on the entune unit to remove my phone from the unit, so instead I deleted all personal info through settings. I tried connecting 3 other phones too, and no other phone, iOS 9, 10 or Android version 7. It's like its unplugged.Sign In with Edmunds. I went to dealer and they did not. Did you get a manual? Did you get a great deal? Meet your fellow owners in our Owners Clubs. September edited August in Toyota. September edited September Looks like you should have gotten there returning to the default but I'm no Bluetooth whiz. September January Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

I'm having the same exact problem with the same make and model car. I figured it out!Discussion in ' Prius v Audio and Electronics ' started by mntnbnjoNov 11, Bluetooth and Phone options unavailable Discussion in ' Prius v Audio and Electronics ' started by mntnbnjoNov 11, As I was driving home I pulled over to set up my phone so that I could make a call.

I go into the menus and pair my phone. While it was pairing and loading contacts I began to drive. A message popped up a moment later saying that contacts could not load or something to that effect. When I got home I attempted to pair again but the bluetooth and phone icons are now grayed out.

I have searched the forums and google and find plenty of people that have had the problem but no solutions that work for me. I have done the following: Press power on stereo for three seconds and let it restart. I have the version with the LCD screen without Apps.

I find nothing. Any one figure this issue out? Offline Active Member. Things to try: Go into the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and unpair the Prius.

Then put your Prius in accessory or run mode and press the off-hook button on the steering wheel to see if a "phone not connected" pop-up is displayed on the in-dash screen. You could actually try this first before you unpair the Prius in your iPhone's Bluetooth phone setting. If you do get the "phone not connected" pop-up, select "Connect phone" if that is displayed and then follow the prompts.

If the above doesn't help, I have one other question for now: Has your iPhone paired and work succesfully with the Bluetooth systems in other vehicles? Thanks for the response. My phone works perfectly with all other Bluetooth devices. After posting my issue, I found that an update had been released that addresses this issue and was available at TIS.

I downloaded the file and went out to install it and discovered that my Bluetooth and Phone icons had returned. I went ahead and installed the update anyhow and haven't had any problems since. I must say that the Entune system is terrible in comparison to any other multimedia system I've used in a car.

I think I'll definitely be searching for an aftermarket head unit soon. Was the update specific to the head unit or a general Entune update? Link to the TIS file? We have the and the current firmware update.

How to Activate and Connect to Lexus Enform Wi-Fi

Jay Rudin Junior Member. You can't pair Bluetooth or finish transferring contacts when the Prius is being driven. That may have frozen it up. I just bought a Prius three yesterday. I tried everything I could find to make the Bluetooth work, with no success Finally, the Toyota service person tried upgrading the firmware and, failing with that, determined I need a whole new audio unit.

I'll be getting that this week or next. That may not be the case here but I want to post anyway so when someone new searches, you will see this and realize you may well have tried everything and done everything right and the system is just going to have to be replaced. When I press register, the register screen has the first phone I entered on it with no way to change it to the new phone name I want to enter. If I press register it tries to pair the first registered phone name with the new phone.

The manual is useless. It doesn't even mention adding a second or third phone, only mentions that you can have up to 6.

Make sure you are in the Bluetooth menu, not the phone menu, and have the phone's Bluetooth broadcasting discoverable. That should do it. Yup, that works, and it discovers the second phone, but the car uses the first phone's name. As if it's overwritting the first phone. I cancel at that point. Will it later allow me to add a second name? Yes, you can change the name. When the phone is detected, it may have the same "Device Name" as a previous phone, if your phones are the same brand or model.

But you can change what you call the phone in the "Register" field of the menu after you establish the connection. The actual connection is not made by name, but instead with the internal Bluetooth device number like a MAC number for computers and network devices. Thank you I was having the same problem and called Lexus and they were unable to figure it out.

It appears that some of the units have an additional screen which says "Add phone". Mine and apparently yours does not. But what you recommended worked fine and I renamed the second phone after it paired and now I'm a happy camper. You can post now and register later. Posted February 5, Posted February 6, My registered phones have first names of each owner as the names. This includes the ability to see your phone's sat nav on the lexus screen - which would be amazeballs if i could get it working.

I've tried following the instructions on page of the manual - but cant get my phone to be recognised. I have a Sony Experia Z - it has a car mode app which is used when mirroring to any vehicle that can support the mirrorlink protocol - Have you tried that yet? I would assume you link the phone via Bluetooth to the car first, then launch the Car Mode app.

I have not tried it on the ISh yet Mine is not due till end of November :eerrrmm: but it works fine on my Dad's car. I tested the mirrorlink funktion with galaxy sIII.

The mirrorlink funktion in menu is greyed out until I activate the mirrorlink application in galaxy sIII. After plug into USB the menu is active, but the funtionality is very simple. I can only use the google maps but no other navi application. If I am using mirrorlink I can not swich on the radio or my ipod.

Nokia support can not help and I could not find any solution in the different forums. Alexch, in wich car have you tested the xperia Z? Or you need somebody, who is able to buy the app with your account and close the ovi store app you can download tha app or not But I can not pay with my three bank cards. Price is about 30 dollars, but nobody not need this money: I tryed to pay for other application 1 pound. Money left my account but i not receive application. I think i will wait solution from Samsung or Lexus for this matter.

Anyway i bought this car without navi because dealer told my about mirrorlink system and now i try to include this in my car. After you started it and connected the phone with usb the mirrorlink in info menue will be active and you can start google maps.

I have tested and it works in my IS Hi frankyman. I have galaxy s2, wife have galaxy s3 mini. Thank you my friend! But i'll wait for Samsung decision about this matter. I have downloded today the app. After starting the app. I dont need sim card because I can download the maps for freeat home with wifi and navi is working offline.
